Brooklyn, NY-based indie rocker Mathew Houck, aka Phosphorescent, has announced the release of that group's new album. This time there's a twist. The album To Willie will be a collection of 11 covers of Willie Nelson songs. In selection Houck has purposely steered clear of the hits and dug for lesser known material. While the first annual Chicago Bluegrass & Blues Festival seemed to offer very little in the form of traditional Bluegrass or Blues music, from an enjoyment standpoint the festival was a success and headliners, the Avett Brothers , were the main reason behind that success. Just placing the Avett Brothers in the headlining spot signaled that this was not going to be any sort of traditional bluegrass or blues festival but in the end this worked in the festival's favor.... It was like a class reunion at the Wiltern last night for the Lucinda Williams show. Musicians - Rich McCulley, Amilia Spicer. Writers - Chris Morris. and writers who play music - Shaun Mason. Lyle has his ups and downs, but in my opinion, his ups are classic and they just rope me in. This tune has a simple beauty in it's lyric and melody and hence the title. You don't like this, you have no heart. It's a simple song for simple feeling
