Whilst waiting for the new Rilo Kiley album to come out, I decided to finally check out The Elected, Blake Sennett's side project. What I found was a mixture of dreamy vocals, catchy beats, and country-tinged pop rock melodies. The lyrics are very reminiscent of Rilo Kiley's quirky yet endearing narratives, weaving timeless tales of frustration and loneliness.
