Alrighty, so this is my first post, I'll have to make it count for something. I think it's only right to start with these guys, I've been listening to them for what seems like forever(probably more like a year and so many months) and their approach to music is commendable. With eerie and ominous dark blues riffs they capture an aura of power and ghostly irreverence. I kind of, sort of thought that Alex Maas of the Black Angels sounded a bit like Jim Morrison, now I think he is almost imitating him. That being said...i still really like this new record.

I'm hoping these guys put on a good show this coming Friday at Asheville's Orange Peel because I've got a ticket and what better way to celebrate the 4th with some good old fashioned rock and roll? These guys sound like a darker version of The Doors to me and I only just discovered them a couple months ago so this will be the first time I've seen them.
