Here's a track off the upcoming Kelley Stoltz album, Circular. The album is due out Feb. 5 and has something of a '60s pop-rock vibe.
One of my very favorite songwriters, Kelley Stoltz, has a new album out on Sub Pop next month called Circular Sounds and it seems certain to fall somewhere in my top ten for 2008. For what it's worth (not much), I just put together my top 10 list for Harp, and of course, I couldn't get it down to ten. Here are my 25 favorite records for this year with the usual caveats. a) I haven't heard everything (Joanna Newsom, Hold Steady). b) There are a handful of really good records that I haven't spent enough time with (Roots, Decemberists, TV on the Radio, Yo La Tengo). c) I will probably change my mind or remember another one by the end of the day.... I didn't actually make it over to hear Kelley and Scrabbel, as I was in the midst of epic and glorious wedding banquetude and no way I was going to abandon my friends nor the honey-glazed sea bass. If you went you should tell me how awesome it was though.
