This review is a tad bit overdue but I had such an excellent time at the concert that I was..um…out of sorts for a minute afterwards. Yep. Beginning at the beginning – the venue was only 20 minutes from my house and being me I left 45 minutes before show time. After mercilessly mocking all North Carolinians that complain about their traffic, I finally found out they weren’t lying. My Motto . Ive never been a huge music fan of G. Loves but this song instantly put me in a good mood the first time I heard it. This song has a beautiful meaning behind the words as well who it was written for.

G. Love and Special Sauce have now been doing it for over a decade, and they only get better with age. They rolled into Columbus OH on MLK day and provided their own brand of hip-hop-blues-funk for what looked like a sold out crowd. The highlight of the show for me though happened before the show when I bumped into G at a local eating establishment. He was cool and hooked us up with backstage passes. I've always considered myself an ardent G. Love and Special Sauce fan. Kind of lost track in the middle there sort of, but ever since he's been signed on with Jack Johnson and his Brushfire Records, Garrett's creativity seems to be at a new peak. Well G.
