Last weekend I had a visit to my lovely city from Zeroskilz. We hit the town HARD, and so for our last hurrah on Sunday, we shifted down to a low gear for Bat for Lashes. Opening was Chris Chavez. This guy was an amazing one-man-band. Bat For Lashes' lovely Natasha Khan is preparing to go back in the studio to record a second album. Khan begins recording the follow-up to Fur and Gold next week in New York. According to NME:

Radiohead has announced yet another opener for their tour. Bat for Lashes. The Fur & Gold LP has yet to really grow on me, but the video for What's a Girl to Do? entertains me to no end. One part X-Sports, one part Donnie Darko. The song's pretty cool, too.

Natasha Khan could have followed in the footsteps of her family and played squash. Whilst i would love to play squash with her, i must say that i am happy she chose music over squash. However, if she had chosen squash i would never have had the confusion of wondering how the Klaxons managed to beat her dulcet sounds to take out the Mercury prize. can anybody explain this conundrum???

I missed out when contrabandwidth was pushing this new smack now I'm all strung out and jonesing for more. I need to see a "Behind the scenes: Making of" for this video. I'll post it if I find something. Oh, yeah! and this guy might be the coolest dude on MOG. He's got a great ear for music, rummage around his page for awhile. leobu I have no idea what he's saying, but the music's great.

I am just in the midst of trying this out, but it could be a good work around for the slow loading time Mog sometimes experiences. Google has updated it's RSS Feed reader, Google Reader, and you can basically plug in a bunch of your favorite blogs and read the posts with out having to visit the sites. This is good for catching up on all the latest breaking Mog happenings.

It's been too long since I've posted on my own little social networking experiment. But thanks to dachmo posting about how he missed out on my little Bat For Lashes obsession (in the name of science), I decided to give an update on the whole process.
