While I trouble-shoot my way through an auto-tuned rebuttal of sorts to Troy's Instant Classic, I wanted to post this outstanding version of "Brothers on a Hotel Bed" from DCFC's recently released EP that Charley posted on earlier today. The whole EP is pretty good actually, but this song has been one of my favorites of theirs since it came out off Plans.
It's been a bit of a rough day, and a depressing-ass song isn't exactly what I was looking for as a pick-me-up, but this version of this song is tremendous.
Ha... not the Game's song Dope Boys. This is the singular version, just one Dope Boy, though there are multiple artists (3 great ones too) on the song.
Check out Lupe, Wale and Kardinal Offishall rhyming over a very reminiscient beat.
If you think that the only person I write about is Wale... well, you might have a point.

Check out a new song off of Cold War Kids' 2nd album, Loyalty To Loyalty, "Something Is Not Right With Me.
Though a bit more upbeat than some of their debut album, it pretty much sticks to a similar sound.... and that's a good thing. But at a brisk 2:23, it leaves the listener wanting more.

I so wanted to be there for this...but didn't win the KFOG contest. It is a nice version of it. I think it is a really nice song.
