MOG MOG

THE MUSIC BLOGGING NETWORK

Album: Live Covers

Stan, my boy, turned 12 yesterday.  And to celebrate, Uncle Sef arranged an exciting gift...the gift of flight.

I honestly had no intention of participating.  It was to be Sef, Stew (hubby) and Stan.  But Stew dislocated his shoulder about 6 years ago, and all the warning signs suggested that it was not recommended.  We are talking 130 mph winds on the shoulder joints...it just wasn't worth it.  So I stepped up to the plate.  I was so apprehensive.  I don't like the sinking feeling you get in your stomach, like the floor is dropping out from under you.

It was awesome...

And yes, when making a video like this, you are REQUIRED to use cliche music.  On Sef's video, he choose Kenny Loggins' "Danger Zone"....also an excellent choice in my opinion.

Thanks again Sef...you rock!

That is one of the coolest things I've ever seen!  I so want to try it.  I'm sure it's only in CA though :(.

BTW - Those are Sef's girls, my nieces, in the front.  Hannah, age 5 1/2, was supposed to go, but she opted not to.  It's open for ages 3 to 90...

Tyler, I seem to recall their being one of those in the Pigeon Forge area, but I can't back that up with any hard evidence right now.

Sef's youtube site has it HERE . It's nice to see the instructor at the end...he gets a few tricks in.  He has logged more then 500 hours in the wind tunnel.

HERE is how it works...the windtunnel info for all you techies out there.

I like how he drinks a Red Bull before he jumps.  Like that's gonna help him.

There's no way I'm jumping out of a plane, but that looks tremendous. I also love it when cool bands cover "cliche" songs. This is a perfect example.

WOW! That is way cool Annie, thanks for sharing it! You definitely got some high air while doing it too(& the asst. flew w/you & no one else, you're special, haha). I've not seen anything like that before.

As for the TP song, I don't care who covers it, it still makes me nauseous hearing it since MTV played that damn vid/song to death back in the day! Although I must say DCFC does an admirable job of it.

I expected an airplane, you all looked so serious in the beginning - I had no idea you could rent a wind-tunnel!  How cool!
