Songs You Should Be Listening To
Posts
while in oz, i purchased my very first vinyl record ever. and it was none other than can's, unbelieveably perfect, "tago mago". i couldnt be more excited about it. im actually more excited about the record than having seen rhcp in concert (review will be coming in the next few days). its a double record, with "halleluwah" taking up one whole side of the first record (arguably one of the best songs ever). and it sounds so much better than its digital brother. if you take time to think about it, vinyl was the version they were going off of, so technically, this is how it should be heard. and thats cool with me.
if youre a fan of blonde redhead go check out their myspace page before april 10 because from now until then, they will have their new album "23" streaming in its entirety. and i dare say that it is good! better than good!

A friend of mine was telling me about Blonde Redhead and their melancholy sound. I don't know if I would be able to listen to an entire album, but songs here and there are good.
the new album seems more "drone"-y rather than melancholy to me. still downbeat, but not as much down...if you know what i mean. thats just me though. still, very worth checking out.
can. everything about this band is weird. one of the oddest bands ive ever heard. for a while there, "tago mago" was, without a doubt, my favorite album of all time. come to think about it, still is. and my favorite song is definitely "halleluwah". which brings me to the point of this post: what are the weirdest/kookiest lyrics you have ever heard?
mine?
"searching for my blow-up doll, yes i am!"
