MOG MOG

THE MUSIC BLOGGING NETWORK

Artist:

This was probably one of the saddest live performances I've ever seen. Amy mumbled, bumbled, and stumbled around near the front row of the crowd. Aroun the 47 second mark of the video, she throws an elbow, and punches (or tries to punch) a fan before being pulled away by security.

Winehouse now joins an elite club of fan-kicker-assers with Tim McGraw and Josh Homme.

here's more Amy at Glastonbury...

I think this is just sad to be honest.  I saw her at Coachella last year and though she went through one drink in about 10 seconds and had to go back for another, she put on a great performance, her voice was perfect and I am not even a fan really... but to see someone not be able to do anything without a serious amount of drugs and/or alcohol in their system is sad man... sad.

HER VOICE IS GOOOOOOOOOOOONE. She could've been the next....Awful and sad

The bits where she reaches into the crowd and grimaces while  trying to inflict injury upon an audience member...while singing….. mind you… is priceless….maybe a first in the history of singer/ songwriter dysfunctional behavior
Yet her performance the night before for Mandella was just the  opposite. Ahh…. the mixed up crazy world of substance abuse

damn, almost forgot about Akon's teen tossing!

I'm currently bored of Amy (though her Mandela performance was pretty sweet), but man that hairpiece is gorgeous!  It's like geisha hair.  It can't be her real hair, it looks like a giant piece attached to the top of her head with her scraggly hair running down her back.  look at how smooth and shiny it is - with cocktail umbrellas tucked in!

I refuse to feel sorry for someone who consistantly chooses to live a life of crazy. while the cd is cool, its not brilliant, an icon for our time? I think not.....

guess we should all stayed tuned to watch the train wreck she has become and see where it ends up...

I agree.  I'll personally bitch-slap the first person that says "Oh, that's so sad!" when she drops dead.

she used to be a really great singer, but now her timing and range totally suck. she's lost all the feel and emotion that used to be so impressive in her performances. drugs seem to have robbed her totally of the ability to be present in the moment, and actually perform....she's like a zombie in this footage, going thru the motions and babbling like a drunken skank - what a fucking shame.

and one more thing, her mentioning her loser husband in every song really gets old. can't some inmate just shiv that guy?

That girl is such a mess.  What a waste of talent... just like Pete Doherty.  I can't even admire someone who chooses to just be a hot wet mess like that.  I'm sure she'll be dropped from her label soon enough...

It could only happen in the music business.... If Amy Winehouse worked in a shoe shop and acted like this she would get the heave ho. The entertainment business however seems to more than tollerate someone self destructing in front of its eyes. It sells tickets. I watched the live footage and it made me feel sick to see such an obvious tallent reduced to a shambling shadow of her usual self. Frankly she looked like the next rock and roll casualty to me.. I had to switch it off.. I hope she gets herself sorted out.. and is given the space and time to do it by those who pay her wages.

what a shame she has talent and all the opportunities , and all of it being wasted. Its a double shame because then i feel sorry for all the artists who have talent and just dont get the exposure or the big breaks. Wake up Amy before its too late.

Sorry, Amy its time to move on.  Life is short and there are many more talented vocalists out there that could use the break.  It doesn't take much work on U-tube to find someone with more talent that needs a break.  I just saw a 12 your old music student sit in with Dave Brubeck and play his sax on take 5 and pull it off.

I have heard better vocalists and talents singing in the Rodeo Bar in New York City on a Monday night were admission was just buying a drink from the bar.

Miles Davis had some substance abuse problems but it never stopped him from getting to the next musical level.

Lets stop enabling her and not buy any more of her recordings or concert tickets.

This is a disgrace, it isnt even funny, I hate to sound like a loser, but when and if I ever get the chance to sing infront of that many people I will be sober as a whip giving the people what they paid for. This whole thing is "sad, sad, sad...."
